The Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association is the combined voice of the over 80 funeral firms spanning across Long Island. In addition to serving as a resource for funeral directors, our organization works to unify the interests of firms, directors, and related services to better assist the families who enlist our combined talents in their time of grief. Our exposure to all phases of the funeral industry uniquely positions us as an asset not just to our member firms but to all those who align with our core value of service to families in the region.

Established in 1990, the Nassau-Suffolk Funeral Directors Association is led by funeral directors from area firms who serve as volunteer members on the executive board as well as representatives from each county. Standing committees build relationships with other organizations such as health care facilities, cemeteries, programs and continuing education providers, mortuary science programs, as well as local and state representatives from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Department of Social Services,  as well as emergency response and disaster preparedness officials.
